Stephanie Aliaga is a journalist, artist, and community organizer based in Queens, NY.

She is the director of Mujeristas Collective, a non-profit organization and platform for the voices of women of color and Latinas. Stephanie recently received the New Works Grant from the Queens Council on the Arts funded by New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, Greater New York Arts Development Fund to support Mujeristas Collective’s project.

As an artist, photography and zine-making are her tools to creatively document local grassroot community stories. She is a singer-songwriter of her solo project, Grey Scales, a wanna-be Fiona Apple indie music.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a minor in Photojournalism from St. John's University in May, 2018. During her time there, she founded the first feminist organization on campus, Feminists Unite, that continues to hold meetings today.
